Communications Regulators' Association of Southern Africa (CRASA) is an association of regulators and other stakeholders in the information and communications industry in Southern Africa. The Association has been providing a platform, for more than a decade, where issues are debated and agreed upon on how the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) can integrate its information and communications policies and regulations.

In pursuit of harmonisation of policies and regulations, CRASA has been developing guidelines on various ICT regulatory issues to be adopted by SADC regulators. The Association believes that harmonisation of SADC ICT policies and regulations would enhance regulatory certainty, diminish market distortions, help promote economies for ICT equipment and services and thereby; contribute to reduction in prices for consumers of ICT products and services. In addition, CRASA is currently facilitating the process of simplifying licensing requirements to reduce the costs of market entry. It is also assisting in creating more efficient implementers of the best ICT regulatory practices through facilitation of training and development for SADC ICT regulators and other stakeholders.

CRASA changed its Constitution to allow for other stakeholders in the information and communications industry, apart from regulators, to participate in the development of the SADC ICTs sector through CRASA Associate Membership. This development has empowered the private sector leadership and individuals to participate in shaping and influencing policy and regulation on regional integration and trade relating to ICTs.

CRASA currently has thirteen members and two associate members. The CRASA Secretariat is based in Gaborone Botswana.
