CRASA One Stop Shop CRASA One Stop Shop

CRASA Vision is to ensure that there is harmonisation in information and communications regulatory environment in Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) region. This is in pursuit of harmonised development of sustainable communications through facilitation of an investor friendly environment in the region.

One of the ways in which CRASA envisages to achieve its Vision, is through provision of information to investors and assurance that information on regulations and licensing requirements are readily available.

In this regard, CRASA has developed Guidelines on Wireless Policy and Regulations formulated through the assistance of the Catalysing Access for ICTs in Africa (CATIA) programme. One of the strategies for implementation of this Guideline is through the development of a ONE-STOP-SHOP which provides a platform where licensing information about communication regulators in SADC can be obtained. In addition, the Association is currently developing a Common Application Form for licensing of wireless services, for both, at national and regional levels.

The One-Stop-Shop will, therefore, be a place where investors and potential investors will be able to apply online for licences and authorisations to provide Wireless Communications Services in SADC region. The main aim of this initiative is to ease the time consuming bottlenecks currently being faced by operators or potential operators in filing for licences or authorisations applications
