To ensure that Africa remains competitive in the global economy it is important that the underlying communication infrastructure is upgraded so that all citizens, businesses and public services can benefit from the development of new digital applications and services. By presenting the areas to focus on, and the process to be followed, the How to Develop National Broadband PlanGuidelines will assist countries in development of their NBP while considering the existing country specific situation.
