
The Communications Regulators’ Association of Southern Africa (CRASA) and Cullen International have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the ICT and Postal regulatory landscape in the region. As part of this MoU, Cullen International will provide three annual scholarships for capacity-building training in areas of mutual interest to both organizations. These scholarships will be awarded based on a training needs assessment conducted by CRASA.
The scholarships will cover training fees, round-trip airfare, and half-board accommodation for in-person training.For 2024, the scholarship is available for the following programs:
1) Competition Law in the Telecom Sector, an online training scheduled from 17th to 19th September 2024.
2) Mastering European Union Telecoms Regulation, an in-person training scheduled from 1st to 3rd October 2024 in Brussels, Belgium.
The two training programs contribute directly to CRASA’s Mission and Vision.
The scholarships are available to all staff members employed by a CRASA Member organization. Applications can be submitted via the link provided to the Director Generals and Chief Executive Officers of CRASA Member organizations. Cullen International will independently review the applications and announce the results through CRASA. These scholarships underscore CRASA's expanding outreach and dedication to establishing strategic partnerships that strengthen its knowledge base and regulatory effectiveness within the SouthernAfrican Development Community (SADC).
